2026 Masters European calendar combines traditionals with exciting new destinations
Masters Historic Racing has combined seven cherished old-school tracks all over the continent to create an exciting list of dates for its 2026 European season. While the core Masters weekends at Silverstone, Zandvoort and Brands Hatch all remain on the calendar, they are joined by renewed visits to three much-loved Southern European destinations – the true racers’ circuits of Paul Ricard, Dijon and Mugello. ‘The other Dutch circuit’ at Assen is the surprise addition to seven thrilling weekends that put the racing first.
Historic racing is at its best at the tracks that allow classic car designs to stretch their legs like they used to in their heyday – from fast-flowing and undulating circuits like Zandvoort, Brands Hatch, Dijon, and Mugello to daunting power tracks such as Silverstone and Paul Ricard that combine long straights with full-throttle corners and challenging technical sections. That is why Masters has decided to include all of these breathtaking circuits in its 2026 calendar, while putting its drivers to a brand new test by adding the famous TT Circuit at Assen to its dates for what promises to be a scintillating new Masters season.
As in the previous two years, the European Masters season will kick off in May with the Grand Prix de France Historique at Paul Ricard, a circuit that witnessed record Masters Racing Legends entries in 2024 as well as this year – and Masters is aiming for a repeat success in 2026 when it returns to the Côte d’Azur for a glorious spring meeting.
At the heart of the Masters calendar remain the Masters Historic Festival at Brands Hatch, the Historic Grand Prix at Zandvoort and the Silverstone Classic, the latter having been moved forward to July, in the process opening up a gap for Assen to be introduced to the Masters grids.

The increasingly popular Assen Classic Grand Prix will host its fourth edition in 2026, and Masters will contribute to a tantalising programme that will also heavily feature the glorious two-wheeled history of a challenging circuit rooted in the fifties. Masters’ own traditional late-May Brands Hatch weekend in the green Garden of England, meanwhile, will celebrate the Kent circuit’s 100-year anniversary, as its first race – a race between cyclists and cross-country runners! – took place as long ago as 1926. Dutch-style seaside racing is back by demand at the ever-popular circuit of Zandvoort that continues to inspire any hardcore racer.
Masters will round off its 2026 season with two absolute driver favourites – the old-school tracks of Dijon and Mugello. In September, Masters will revisit the Dijon Motors Cup for the first time since 2018, while in October, Masters returns to Mugello for the second time in three years to play a vital part in the brand new Gran Premio Storico d’Italia event. Mentioned more than once by Masters drivers as two of their favourite tracks on the European continent, the exhilarating up-and-down nature of both circuits, located in the inviting and gastronomic regions of Burgundy and Tuscany, are certain to create a fitting and absorbing finale to Masters’ season of old-school racing.
In addition, the Masters Test Day is back, with a full day scheduled at Paul Ricard in April. This will help Masters’ 3-litre Formula One drivers to prepare for Monaco in the following weekend as well as the Grand Prix de France Historique three weeks later.
