The Haupt Racing Team is making its debut at the FIA Motorsport Games at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo near Valencia. Team founder Hubert Haupt and talented youngster Finn Wiebelhaus will compete for the medals in the GT competition in the #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 as Team Germany in cooperation with the German Motorsport Association (DMSB) at the event, which was launched as the FIA GT Nations Cup in 2018. Former DTM driver and IGTC champion Daniel Juncadella will compete for victory for Spain in the sister car with starting number 12 in the GT Sprint. Finn Wiebelhaus will also tackle this discipline for the German team.

At the FIA Motorsport Games, which are held every two years, nations compete against each other in a wide range of motorsport disciplines. Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded to the best athletes in each category. In the GT discipline, two drivers share the wheel of their car. The winners are determined in a qualifying race and a subsequent main race, each lasting 60 minutes. In a 40-minute race, the drivers in the GT Sprint discipline will compete for medals at the FIA Motorsport Games in the individual competition.

The GT competitions start on Friday 24 October with the practice sessions and qualifying. The qualifying and main races will be held on Saturday 25 October. As one of the highlights of the FIA Motorsport Games, the GT Sprint will start on the following Sunday.
