Is the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans the event with the best BoP since the start of the 2023 season? In any case, that's the opinion of a good number of informed observers. All of which augurs well for a splendid end to the season.

Barely a month after the double-header in Sarthe, the 37 cars entered for the year in the WEC meet in Brazil, at Interlagos, the scene of the fifth round of the 2024 campaign. And we now know the BoP values in force in Brazil.

Derived from a combination of homologation parameters, platform equivalence and manufacturer compensation, these figures are always very complex to interpret. Here they are, in a table that includes the figures used at Spa-Francorchamps and Le Mans.

In terms of weight, the Ferrari 499P has been given an extra 17kg, but also a power gain above 250kph up by 3.5 to 1.8%. Lacking in top speed, the Cadillac V-Series.R benefits from +10 kW below 250, but its power gain will fall by 1.5% above that. The Porsche 963 has gained 9 kg, while gaining 1 kW below 250 km/h. Lastly, the Toyota will be seven kilos heavier, and will see its power below 250 fall by 2kW, while its gain power above 250 will rise from 1.9 to 2.8%.
