The DragonSpeed LMP2 team will contest the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen enduro on 20-23 June at the legendary Watkins Glen road course in upstate New York. The third round of this season’s IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship’s Michelin Endurance Cup will see the Daytona and Le Mans class-winning outfit field drivers Eric Lux (Bronze), Nicolas Varrone (Gold), and Rasmus Lindh (Silver) in its familiar number 81 ORECA O7-Gibson machine backed by Rembrandt Charms and Flex-Box.

Eric Lux: “It’s a pleasure to rejoin DragonSpeed, especially at my awesome home track of Watkins Glen, and to bring along a new sponsor in the form of FlyExclusive Jet Club as well. Nico and Rasmus are both spectacular young talents with a good head for endurance racing, and I can’t wait to team up with them. It would be an amazing feeling to win this race again!”

Nico Varrone: “I’m really looking forward to racing at Watkins Glen with the benefit of DragonSpeed’s experience and team spirit for my first IMSA race in LMP2. This track is one of my favorites and it should be even better in a P2 car! Eric and Rasmus give us a strong lineup so for sure we can have a go at fighting for the class win.”

Rasmus Lindh: “I’m extremely happy to continue with DragonSpeed for Watkins Glen after enjoying my first outing with the team at Sebring. I learned a lot on my LMP2 debut there, and look forward to putting those lessons to work at the Glen. With Eric and Nico on the strength, we should have some fun and a shot at bringing home some silverware.”

Team Principal Elton Julian: “We’re delighted to have Eric back with DragonSpeed for his home race at this great circuit. Rasmus showed great pace for us at Sebring and was a perfect team player. We’re super excited to round out our squad with a rising star like Nico, who’s already a Le Mans winner and WEC champion in LM GT3 with Corvette last year. We’re also hoping to make a major announcement about our future plans at the Glen, so watch this space.”
