The last two races of the first round of the Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship concluded late afternoon at the Misano World Circuit, both won by BMW and Lamborghini. In the GT3 class, BMW Italia-Ceccato Racing Team's representatives, Klingmann-Hesse (BMW M4 GT3), took the victory ahead of Delli Guanti-Mazzola (Audi R8 LMS) and Nurmi-Ferati (Ferrari 296 GT3), while in the GT Cup, Tribaudini-Zanon (VSR) climbed to the top step of the podium, preceding Mainetti-Scionti (DL Racing) and Pollini-Pollini (Huracan ST Evo2-VSR), all driving Lamborghini Huracan ST Evo2.

Regarding the various subclasses, in GT3 PRO-AM, the victory went to Ebrahim Malvestiti (BMW M4 GT3-BMW Italia Ceccato-Racing Team), in GT3 AM to Mcgee-Mcintosh (Mercedes AMG GT3-Antonelli Motorsport), in GT Cup AM 1st Division to Randazzo-Clementi Pisani (Lamborghini Huracan ST Evo-2 HC Racing), in GT Cup PRO-AM 2nd Division to Palma-Navatta (Porsche 992 GT3 Cup-Raptor Engineering), and in GT Cup AM 2nd Division to Polverini-Liana (ZRS Motorsport).

GT3: It was a swift redemption, following the misfortune in Saturday's race, with the victory in race-2 by the BMW representatives, built thanks to a strong first stint by Hesse, who closely followed pole-sitter Denes in second position, and an equally impressive performance by Klingmann, who took over the lead at the driver change and maintained it until the chequered flag, ahead of Delli Guanti-Mazzola.

The Tresor Audi Sport Italia crew delivered an excellent race, with the young driver from Potenza performing admirably in the first stint, staying in touch with the leaders, and then leaving the climb to the second step of the podium to his Puglian co-driver, ahead of Nurmi-Ferati (Ferrari 296 GT3-AF Corse).

Just off the podium were Cazzaniga-Di Folco (Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2), who finished ahead of their teammates Michelotto-Stadsbader, fifth, staging a brilliant comeback that allowed them to take the lead in the overall standings.

In the race, the VSR representatives were ahead of Di Amato-Boguslavskiy (Ferrari 296 GT3-AF Corse) and the BMW crew, Ebrahim-Malvestiti, leading in GT3 PRO-AM, ahead of the third Huracan from VSR driven by Moulin-Fabi, the Honda NSX GT3 (Nova Race) of Berto-Jelmini, and the Porsche GT3 R (Fach Auto Tech) of Marshall-Blattner, the new leaders of the provisional GT3 PRO-AM standings.

In GT3 AM, the Antonelli Motorsport representatives, Mcgee-Mcintosh, repeated their success from race-1, driving the Mercedes AMG GT3, thus leading the provisional standings with maximum points.

A retirement due to an accident characterized the race for the Biagi-Trulli crew, highly anticipated before the championship at the wheel of the Ferrari 296 GT3. The Easy Race representatives didn't score points, but the surprise of the weekend was the impressive performance in both races by the 22-year-old son of former F1 driver Jarno, consistently setting lap times close to those of the top drivers.

Unfortunately, the Tresor Audi representatives, Cola-Moncini, retired in the early stages due to a punctured tyre, and the crew starting from pole position, Bartholomew-Denes (Imperiale Racing), finished 11th overall at the finish line due to a Stop & Go Penalty for a jump start.

GT Cup: It was an impeccable race for Tribaudini-Zanon, deservedly won for the masterful performance of both drivers. Zanon in the first stint made no mistakes and closely followed Scionti, while in the second part of the race, the French driver, who took the lead after the driver change, extended his lead over the pursuers to win ahead of the two Lambos of Mainetti-Scionti (DL Racing) and Pollini-Pollini. The representatives of Giacomo Race staged a race of complete comeback, grabbing the third step of the podium in the final moments, allowing them to rise to the top of the provisional standings.

At the foot of the podium, Gattuso-Fontana concluded with the Huracan from DL Racing, ahead of the Ferrari 488 Challenge of Di Fabio-Pierantoni (Easy Race), in fifth position, once again highlighting the great driving skills of the young driver from Pesaro, who climbed from 19th position in the second stint.

Sixth overall and first in the GT Cup AM 1st Division were Randazzo-Clementi Pisani (Lamborghini Huracan ST Evo2-HC Racing) ahead of Gilles-Renmans (Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo-Double TT Racing), with Egyptian Badawi with the third Lambo from DL Racing, Croccolino-Bucci (Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo-Best Lap), and Borelli-Casè (Ferrari 488 Challenge-AF Corse), second in the AM 1st Division standings.

In the 2nd Division reserved for Porsche 911 GT 3 Cup, there were two doubles, in the PRO-AM that of Palma-Navatta (Raptor Engineering) who, after winning race-1, prevailed in race-2 ahead of Zerbi-Pisani (SP Racing), and in AM that of Polverini-Liana (ZRS Motorsport) who repeated the success ahead of Fabiani-Zanini (SP Racing), Knez-Jacoma (Centri Porsche Ticino), and Grisi-Abbati (SP Racing).
