Vanwall unveils the first edition multi-colour range of the new sporty electric

For the production start, six elegant and distinctive first edition colours, starting with classic Vanwall racing green, plus blue, red, black, dark grey and white both matt and glossy are offered.

With its carbon body and a weight balance advantage that will enhance performance and driveability while extending the driving range, these two models are ready to be recognized as the new benchmark of their category.

The Vandervell S is A TRUE ELECTRIC - EXCLUSIVE – LIMITED SERIES SPORTS SEDAN.

The Vandervell S model is a four door hatchback plus tailgate, characterized by aggressive shapes and extensive aerodynamic research, which immediately attracts attention. The sporty look is underlined by the large front carbon fibre splitter, side skirts and rear spoiler, which highlights the car's gritty character.

The Vandervell S Plus is A PURE ROAD LEGAL “RACING CAR”, much more extreme, lighter weight and more powerful. The S Plus with its full carbon body, including carbon racing seats, dramatically reduces the all-up weight: the kerb weight under 1800 kg!

Of course light weight is a key element in achieving exceptional performance and with a remarkable weight to power ratio, the Vandervell S Plus is one of the fastest E-GT cars on the market. Significantly out-performing the current benchmark, makes it a very well deserved sporty icon.

The two models offer a very exciting driving experience, thanks to increased torsional rigidity, more direct steering feel as well as the availability of advanced features.

Vandervell S models are equipped with a 84 kWh battery, have a dedicated launch control and use a sophisticated regenerative braking system.

The two versions possess different technical specifications:

  • Vandervell S: 4wd, approx. 325 HP
  • Vandervell S Plus: 4wd, approx. 650 HP

  • It is immediately clear that Vandervell S models are the result of the extensive technical know-how and expertise accumulated over years of competition of the Vanwall WEC racing team. In this phase of profound change in the automotive world, Vanwall is investing all its knowledge in this project, demonstrating how racing still serves as a real proving ground to provide solutions which benefit mass production vehicles.

In terms of design, from a styling point of view, the front end of the car has very bold, geometric lines with an aggressive fender shape that incorporates a large cooling system air intake.

The bonnet profile has two side under-cuts that culminate in the lateral fenders, which wrap around the striking 21” (optional 22”) alloy wheels and low profile tires. The very slender dynamic profile sides are underlined by a wide lateral body groove that continues along the two doors. The rear of the car has an integrated air deflector above the window, and a very effective aerodynamic extractor.

The car’s interior is characterized by its imposing cockpit design, with special attention to the driving position, outstanding ergonomics and evocative references to its motorsport heritage.  All this is achieved without sacrificing comfort by the use of the highest quality materials.

The Vandervell S production has started. The Vandervell S Plus will be produced in Germany in a 500 car limited series. The S type and the S Plus are marketed through direct sales and distributed by respected industry partners, in order to be on the market from the first quarter of 2024.

The exceptionally competitive price, is one of the other strengths of this project: starting at 128.000 Euros, excluding VAT. Colour choice includes any of the six colours offered for the bodywork and complementary cockpit interior choices. Taylor-made option specifications are also available on request for discerning owners.

Vanwall is a distinguished automotive brand relaunched by Dr. Colin Kolles, former Managing Director and Team Principal of multiple F1 teams. The model name of the first road-legal product of the new Vanwall range, pays homage to Tony Vandervell, the British founder of the brand in 1951.

Vanwall cars won the Formula One Constructors' World Championship in 1958 against the most successful competitors of the era. The Floyd Vanwall Racing Team contested the 2023 FIA WEC including the 100th 24H of Le Mans, with the Vanwall Vandervell 680 Hypercar.

With the production start of the Vandervell S & S Plus, another new chapter opens in the history of the iconic brand.

Vanwall aims to produce a range of unique and exclusive luxury sporting driver cars, characterised by innovative and cutting-edge technical solutions and the use of the highest quality materials.

The Vanwall R&D Department has specified only the best state-of-the-art equipment available on the market for the new Vandervell S and Vandervell S Plus models, in cooperation with leading automotive components partners.

Vanwall's future plans will also see the production of a limited edition version of the Vanwall Vandervell 1000 Hypercar, the high performance street-legal LM Hypercar. The car is currently under development and has already successfully completed multiple road and racetrack test sessions.
