THE official book of the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans now available

While many books have been published about the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, this one is definitely a must-read. To bring their project to fruition, Les Éditions Cercle d'Art decided to put their trust in two experts that you know well, namely Jean-Marc Teissedre and his faithful partner Thibaut Villemant, whom you read daily on Endurance-Info.

They didn't launch into long accounts of this legendary event, the story of which has been told time and time again, notably by Jean-Marc. No, this time it's an art book, a book to put on your living room table, that they're offering us, with some of the most beautiful and often unpublished photos that they've managed to find here and there.

"The choices were very difficult," they told us. "We could have done four or five volumes without any problem. We tried to go beyond simple photos of cars to show the evolution of traditions, the track and technology. The research work was fastidious, but despite the number of books we'd written or looked at, we still marvelled at shots we'd never seen before. It was also an opportunity to see how photography techniques and requirements have changed over the last 100 years."
