At Daytona at the end of January, all the cars in the GTP class weighed in at 1,030 kg while carrying 920 MJ of energy per stint. In short, there was no real BoP. However, the Acura ARX-06 was clearly a step above the competition.

A few changes were therefore made for the second round, the 12 Hours of Sebring, scheduled for March 18.

The ARX-06, which won the one-two at the end of January, has been weighed down to 1054 kg. The Porsche 963, the Cadillac V-Series.R and the BMW M Hybrid V8 will have to deal with minimum weights of 1048, 1038 and 1040 kg respectively.

The Acura will carry more energy than its rivals, however, as all GTPs were at 920 MJ per stint at Daytona. Finally, while the maximum power level of all the cars was limited to 246kW, it also changed at Sebring: 256 for the Acura, 254 for the Porsche and 252 for the BMW and Cadillac.

The engine speed curve has therefore been modified. As a reminder, the ARX-06 made the difference especially when exiting corners. Let's see if this will make a difference at Sebring, especially since Daytona is a very specific track.
