Asian LMS – DKR Engineering with a crew to compete for the LMP2 title ?
Third in the LMP2 Pro/Am class at last year's 24 Hours of Le Mans for its first race in the category and with the Oreca 07, the Luxembourg team surprised everyone. Will this be the case again in the Asian Le Mans Series in February?
Nothing is impossible. In addition to a Duqueine D08 in LMP3, Kendy Janclaes' team will also be competing in LMP2 with a very promising trio.
Ayhancan Güven (25), a member of the Porsche family and two-time Carrera Cup France champion, will make his debut in a Prototype. The 25-year-old Turkish driver will be supported by his compatriot Salih Yoluç (37). As well as being from the same country, the two men won the FIA GT Nations Cup together for Turkey in 2018.
The third man is Charlie Eastwood (27) , who will also be competing in the ELMS this year (see HERE) in his sixth season alongside Yoluç.
99 Racing - with its trio Mazepin-Barnicoat-Porteiro - will be the overwhelming favourite, but the British team will have to watch out for its Luxembourg rival.
