The Balance of Performance is the talk of the town. The more time passes, the more difficult it becomes to miss. Endurance-Info investigated the simulation-based BOP that should be available in WEC next year. A sensitive subject!

In the 21st century, the Balance of Performance has become a must. Only the LMP2, LMP3 and GT500 categories manage to do without it outside the single-make championships. Often decried, rarely acclaimed, the BOP is part of the starting point of Tourism to Hypercar. It has the merit of balancing the performance of cars of different designs: front, central or rear engine, turbo or atmo, V6, V8 or V10, hybrid or not, two or four wheel drive.
