WEC - BoP Hypercar for the 8 Hours of Bahrain

With one week to go before the 2022 season finale, here is the Performance Scale that will govern the top class.

It was long awaited, here it is. The BoP governing the Hypecar class for the 2022 WEC final is here, with a few modifications.

 

The Alpine A480-Gibson gains 11 MJ of energy per stint, and up to 4 kw of power (between 7000 and 8500 rpm). For its part, the Peugeot is 12 kg lighter but loses 1 MJ of energy per stint. As for the Toyota, its weight remains the same but it loses 4 MJ of energy per stint and up to 4 kW of power depending on the boost pressure.

Once again, we must be careful not to draw hasty conclusions from this BoP, which is based on the characteristics of the cars and each track. Below is a comparison table with data from the last two races and the 2021 8 Hours of Bahrain 8 race.
