COOL Racing / CLX Motorsport is adding a unique event to its 2022 program. The team will take part in the FIA Motorsport Games, to be held October 26-30 in Marseille, host city, and at the Paul Ricard Circuit. Based in Annecy, the team will represent France in the LMP3 Endurance Cup. The #27 Ligier JS JSP320 will be driven by Antoine Doquin, François Heriau et Nicolas Lapierre. The objective will be to finish the current season on a high note.

With 18 scheduled disciplines and athletes competing for their nations, in the spirit of the Olympic Games, the 2022 edition of the FIA Motorsport Games is set to be as exciting as ever. COOL Racing / CLX Motorsport is honoured to be part of the competition, representing France in the Endurance Cup and putting on display the LMP3 prototypes. The team has put together a talented French driver trio: the Haute-Savoie native and official Alpine driver Nicolas Lapierre; Marseille native Antoine Doquin, who races in the European Le Mans Series with the team; and Brittany native François Heriau, who is currently competing in the World Endurance Championship in the LMP2 class.

Current leaders in the LMP3 class in the European Le Mans Series and winners of several races in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, COOL Racing / CLX Motorsport will head to the Paul Ricard Circuit with the ambitions of taking home a medal for the French delegation.

The Endurance Cup will be comprised of LMP3 and GT3 entries taking part in a 2:30 race on Saturday, Oct. 29. The grid will be determined ahead of time using an average of laptimes set during three 15-minute qualifying sessions.

Nicolas Lapierre, driver and founder of CLX Motorsport : “It's always special to represent your country and the FIA Motorsport Games will give us that chance. I experienced that during my time in A1 GP, which remains an excellent memory from my career. For the team and the drivers, it's a responsibility. We owe it to ourselves to be at the top of our game and we're working in that direction. The motivation is high, but we come into this event with a lot of humility. The LMP3 class is highly competitive and we're expecting a particularly high level of racing. There will also be new elements to take into account so the preparation will be a bit specific to the event. It's up to us to put everything together to be ready.”

Anthony Megevand, sporting director at COOL Racing / CLX Motorsport : "We were immediately seduced by the FIA Motorsport Games concept and our objective was clearly to be part of this competition. We are therefore thrilled to have the opportunity to represent France in the Endurance Cup. We are proud and honoured to carry our country's colours and we thank the FFSA and the organisers for accepting our entry. We have tried to united all the elements needed to perform at our best. On the technical side, the team knows the LMP3 class very well. On the sporting side, we have a quality trio of drivers with Nicolas and Antoine, who we know very well, plus François who we are excited to welcome into the team for the first time. We can't wait to discover this very special event, with Marseille being the host city being an added bonus. We have it at heart to get an excellent result."
