Valentino Rossi's first season on four wheels is coming to an end and the desire to continue in 2023 is clearly there. The WRT driver spoke yesterday afternoon about his 2022 season and 2023 plans, which may well include another 24-hour race. The desire is there and what is certain is that Vale will not be driving an Audi R8 LMS GT3 in 2023...

At 43 years of age, Valentino Rossi is starting a new career on four wheels this season in an Audi R8 LMS GT3/WRT with Nico Müller and Fred Vervisch. The biker knew that he would need time to get up to speed when he came to compete against the top drivers in the GT3 class. The dual Endurance/Sprint programme allows him to progress more quickly. As the 2022 season draws to a close, his discovery year is positive. He will be back in the championship in 2023, with the possibility of another big challenge next year.
