Since the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, raw material prices have rise sharply and some components are almost out of stock. Like its competitors, Michelin has not escaped the situation. Should we see this as a lack of tyres for the 24 Hours of Le Mans? The answer is no. Pierre Alvès, Michelin's FIA WEC manager, spoke to Endurance-Info about a thorny issue that has no short-term solution.

Everything is ready at Michelin for the 24 Hours of Le Mans ?

"The tyres are 99% produced for Le Mans. Between Test Day and the week of the race, that makes a total of 7,500 tyres. For the past two years, Michelin has had a different approach with the delivery of a part of the tyres before a restocking according to the needs, which allows us to have two trucks instead of eight. The carbon footprint is very important to Michelin."

Won't there be a supply problem given the global situation ?
