Nismo to enter Nissan Z in Fuji 24 Hours
Like the NLS, the Super Taikyu has an experimental class where manufacturers can enter unlicensed cars. Nismo has decided to take advantage of this to enter two examples of its new coupe in the Fuji 24 Hours "to explore the possibilities of using the Nissan Z in various categories". The manufacturer is not giving any details at the moment, but from the photos provided, the first thing that comes to mind is GT4, where the previous Z was present, and ST-3, the category that hosts the previous generation Z in Super Taikyu.
Nismo will enter a car with the number 230, traditionally reserved for the brand's development prototypes, in the hands of a large house crew: Kohei Hirate, Tsugio Matsuda, Ronnie Quintarelli, Kazuki Hoshino and Daiki Sasaki.
The second car will be entered by Max Racing as number 244. Max Racing has experience of the Z in Super Taikyu, which will provide a good reference point. The crew will consist of team headmaster Tetsuya Tanaka, Toru Tanaka, Atsushi Miyake and the two Nismo drivers Mitsunori Takaboshi and Hironobu Yasuda.
